What makes you want to work in McDonald? The low income? The busy work? The unfriendly consumers? Well, McDonald Japan just tried a new approach to recruiting the high school students and college students to work in McDonald as part-time worker, and the result is actually impressive:
Animation Company: Studio Colorido
The animated story definitely helps the story looks cute and heart-warming, and most importantly, it's more acceptable to the Japanese high school and college students. The voice in the spot is also from a famous idol group in Japan, AKB48. The story tells about a girl get a job in McDonald's with the help of her senpai (please google it if you don't know what it is...) she grew up to be a reliable manager of a McDonald's.
Instead of telling a story about a job or McDonald's, this commercial tells a story about growing up. Therefore, the audience would forget about the bad side of the McDonald's job, because growing up means to be sometimes painful. This commercial just tells the right story to the right people with the right way. Which is exactly what a good commercial should do.
However, I think there is a way to make this commercial even better: make it a series or an anime movie.
I know it may sound expensive, and most of the time anime are just a way to get more attention for the comics and novel, but isn't that exactly what McDonald's want?
